Backpackers & Cyclists welcomed!

Wayfaring Farm is easily accessible on foot or by bicycle from the South Downs Way (from Jevington) or from Polegate Station if you are arriving by train.

There are direct trains from London Victoria to Polegate Station. There are also regular buses from Eastbourne to Lower Willingdon.

Wayfaring Farm provides basic, clean, accessible facilities – everything you need after a long day’s walk. We can provide a firebowl and a decent bag of firewood for a small additional fee of £10; just let us know.

Glenside

At the bottom of the land there is flat camping which is prioritised for backpackers. A public footpath on the other side of the boundary fence takes you down to the glen which is beautiful, and is a very unusual landscape feature to find in chalk down land. There is more road noise down here during the day, but very little after 7pm.

"We were on a bikepacking trip. Wonderful warm welcome and water carried over to our pitch. Very private glade pitch with our own fire pit and lovely views. Basic facilities but all you need for a great experience."
